A Song inspired by Psalm 51
Beauty for Ashes
6 August 2022
I went to a conference called “New Beginnings“. Hadassah Veralyn was preaching and she asked us to close our eyes and ask God what He would like to say to us. I asked Him and as I bowed down I felt that I gave birth to a baby who was already in the birth canal. Then I heard God saying, “Cut the cord!”, and clearly again saying that I needed to put the baby on my breast.
As Hadassah was still talking a card fell out of my Bible and I asked Lydia next to me if it was her card? She replied, “No.” I put it in my Bible and it fell out again. So then I thought to myself that, maybe I need to read it. I did. It was Psalm 51. I opened my Bible and read the Psalm. Part of the Psalm was about joy. And that is what I prayed. I asked God to give me my joy back. I then remembered that my fiend Madalene gave Psalm 51 to me a few of weeks earlier.
Later that afternoon, Charmaine Boshoff spoke about her brother that passed away and that we need at times to just adjust our tiaras as life is not always so easy. I went forward for prayer and it was not very specific. Late afternoon Mary Ann was preaching and she was very prophetic and called people to the front that has had cancer, back pain, death in the family and much more. I went to the front again and she prayed for me.
I was crying very deeply and she told me that she saw a broken vessel. They spent a lot of time in prayer with me after which I felt much better.
The next day I went to church and was on Sunday school duty (helped out). I came home and was very tired. I started cooking beans on the stove and while it was cooking I went to lie down on the couch. I fell asleep and woke up with smoke in every room of the house. The beans were completely burnt to ashes. So much so I had to get rid of the pot.
I felt that God was telling me to put fresh lavender flowers in every room in the house. I did and I only used one lavender bush, because He said it must all come from one bush. It was so amazing when I completed the task. I heard God saying, “Beauty for ashes.”
God nudged me to look up “lavender”, the Biblical meaning. I was amazed to find out that the plant lavender comes from the town Nardus and that is where the name Nardus oil comes from that was used for the anointing of Jesus before he was betrayed . After this I studied the Psalm in the Passion Translation and wrote the song that was in my heart. (See below.)
This was the turning point where I can really say that I have my joy back.
Lavender stands for Purity, Devotion, Serenity and Grace. Purple for royalty, elegance, Refreshment and luxury. Nardus Oil Mark 14:3 John 12:3 and Song of Solomon 1:12 Songs of Solomon 4:13

To ABBA
ABBA I feel such pain and anguish within me. I know that Your delight is to put Your Truth deep into my spirit. So come into the hidden places of my heart (the dark places of my heart) and teach me Wisdom.
Wash me in Your Love until I am pure in my heart.
I want to worship You and You alone. As You satisfy me in Your sweetness of Love my joy will return.
The place within me that You have scorched (my emotions when you took Dries to heavenly places) need Your Healing Touch, so that I can rejoice again. Renew a Reliable Spirit in my inner being and create a new heart within me. Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires to please You.
May You never take from me Your Sacred Spirit. (The Holy Spirit)
Let my passion for life be restored. Tasting joy that is bright and pure as the lilies in every breakthrough that You bring to me.
Hold me close to You with a willing spirit that obeys whatever You say. Lord unlock my heart, unlock my lips, and I will overcome with my joyous praise! For the source of Your pleasure is not in my performance or the sacrifices I might offer to You. The fountain of Your pleasures is found in the sacrifice of my shattered heart before You, You will not despise my tenderness as I humbly bow down at Your feet. And when I am fully restored and take delight in every offering of my life. I bring my sacrifices of righteousness and love before You ABBA.
Love You ABBA Your loving daughter Santhea References: After doing some further research we found that not all sources agree on whether lavender and nard oil are from the same origin. However, what Santhea found when the LORD told her to search the Internet for lavender, was what HE wanted to tell her at that time. That the lavender was precious as HIS love for her. Here are some of the resources we found.
